ZyQuest Development Center (October 2010 - Present)
As the first Louisville-based member of ZyQuest's growing Development Center, a variety of small to medium sized projects were developed. This required tight communication with a team while working remotely and remaining largely autonomous. Technologies used include MVC and LINQ.

Future Visions, Inc. (August 2010 - October 2010)
Fulfilled a project-based contract to provide customizations to Epicor's E4SE software. Development was performed using Visual Studio 2005, Epicor ICE and Crystal Reports within a VMWare image. This project was politically tricky because of the multiple clients. Zyquest's contract was with Future Visions who partnered with Epicor to provide services to Carlson Marketing Worldwide.

Southern Graphic Systems (April 2009 - August 2010)
Maintained and enhanced order entry software for a client in the prepress graphics industry. The application is a web-based .NET application that was initially in use at four plants. Features were added to allow 24 more plants to transition from a legacy system. Further enhancements were provided utilizing Dynamic Axapta for customer management, and interfacing with an in-house invoicing system via WCF services.

Enhanced, maintained, and supported Samtec's Quotes and Sales management software. This is a hodgepodge of applications that were developed in-house using VB6 COM+, classic ASP,ASP.NET, Windows Services, Windows Forms, and Click-Once deployment. All of this was on top of an MS SQL Server 2005 cluster and a legacy Advantage Database Server.


February 2006 – January 2009 Software Developer
Independent Contractor

Developed a PostgreSQL database back-end for the purpose of tracking and monitoring cement-mixers.

Added new features to the firmware for the HA7Net, a device which provides a web front-end to a series of 1-Wire devices. Provided ongoing support and development for the HA7Net firmware.

Developed a plug-in for Nagios network monitoring software allowing 1-Wire devices to be monitored and logged over a network.

Created a VB application for a small retail chain. This application manipulated data from an existing Access database allowing more accurate tracking of monthly sales.


November 2006 – January 2008 Programmer / Analyst

Responsibilities included maintaining and customizing local instances of Datasweep. This is shop-floor software with a MS SQL Server back-end and Java front-end that is customizable with the Pnuts scripting language.

Also developed a variety of specialized applications, including automated data import scripts, device interfaces, and web-based data presentation. These applications used a variety of technologies such as Windows Scripting Host, Javascript, C# Webservices, Ajax, DHTML, XSLT, and C/C++.

Solectron Global Services was acquired by Flextronics International in October of 2007.


June 2003 – November 2006 Application Developer

Participated in all levels of development of the Epicor for Service Enterprises (E4SE) software product. E4SE is a web-based application developed using Epicor's internal toolset known as ICE. Responsibilities included application and functional design, technical design, new features development, and quality assurance. Daily development tasks required extensive use of C#, JavaScript, SQL, and XML. Spear-headed research and implementation of the use of Rational Robot for regression testing.

Developed new functionality for Epicor's eBackOffice software line, including internal inventory forecasting, as well as integration points for external forecasting software packages. This project involved the use of PowerBuilder and SQL.

Epicor Software Corporation acquired TDC Solutions, Inc. in June of 2003.

eWarehouse is an add-on module for Epicor's eBackOffice ERP software that adds warehousing and inventory control functionality. Responsible for developing new features and client customizations which involved the use of Visual Studio 6.0, C/C++, VB, and SQL (MS SQL Server).

SynergySC was a web-based distribution application built on the .NET framework. Participated as a member of the four-man development team developing client components for Internet Explorer 6 as well as Pocket I.E, and server components using Web Services on IIS and MS SQL Server.

Designed, implemented and maintained several web-based applications involving extensive use of Java. Worked with a team and provided support for that team as they moved from a Windows NT platform to Linux. Installed and configured Netscape Enterprise Server 4 (iPlanet), as well as Solaris 2.6.
